“WAR… HuH…. What is it good for?? Absolutely Nothin!”
It was only this year through the gift of closed-captions for a movie, that I learned the real lyrics of the above song, “War” sung famously by Edwin Starr, but first performed by the Temptations (whaaat?).
My original hearing of it was: “WHUT? HUH? What are you good for? Absolutely Nothin!” This is, I think a bit Freudian for me- but whatever, I’m deaf.
